The lights shone like fires of the sun itself, burning my eyes as I woke to the sound of a dozen foot steps, and the beeping of machines.  Cries echoed down the hallways and scattered requests flew out of the ceiling speakerphones.

The walls were white, the bed uncomfortable.  I sat up, a machine to my right began beeping like its spirit was been tortured by my very movements.  I looked about the single room.  Just my bed here, and another, empty one, freshly made with the cypher of some medical clinic or hospital.

I moved again, moving my legs off of the bed, and the machine again shouted out its displasure and pain. 

Just then a woman, in the white gown of a medicae nurse entered the room, and hushed me back into the bed, hitting the red 'panic' button to alrt the churgeon on duty.

A few minutes passed and then a doctor came in, and they checked me over the way doctors do.  Breath for me, open your mouth, shining that piercing light into my eyes.

The doctor and the nurse then left me there, without saying a word.  Somehow I could just make out there discussions near the door.

"How is this possible?" – the nurse asked

"It is the Emperors will…  do not question it." the doctor replied

"What now?"

"Call it in."

"Its been 5 years.  Will they even remember him…"

"They will. Of that I have no doubt."

The two of them walked seperate ways.  At least I knew now that I was a he…  Who or what I am.  or who 'they' are I do not.  Pointless sitting here and worrying about it.  I am more concerened by the black whole in my head.  I remember nothing. I feel nothing.  Perhaps I am nothing… 

Lets just wait and see for "They" to arrive…
